Adjustable beds, made right since 1964

Henry Kraus saw his first adjustable bed at the 1964 World's Fair and opened Electropedic that year. Three generations later, our family still fits every bed to the person sleeping on it, and still makes our own latex mattresses by hand. You spend a third of your life in bed. It should be the finest third.

No one knows more about adjustable beds than Electropedic.

A day on an Electropedic bed

An adjustable bed earns its place one hour at a time. Here is how the right bed, with the right mattress, changes an ordinary day.

Dawn House bed in a morning bedroom

06:30

Rise gently

A rise‑to‑wake setting lifts the head of the bed with your alarm. On hi‑low models the whole bed then lowers to a comfortable sitting height, so your feet meet the floor before you stand.

Dawn House, Ascend and Reverie with the Nightstand app

Prodigy PT 2.0 with the head raised

10:00

Breakfast, the paper, the long view

Raise your back and knees to almost any position. A wall‑hugger glides you back as the head rises, keeping the nightstand at arm's length, and pillow tilt brings your head forward to read.

Electropedic WH2 and Leggett & Platt Prodigy 2.0

Reverie R650 in the zero gravity position

14:00

Zero gravity

Legs slightly above the heart, weight off the spine. Many people find it eases back pain and swelling. Pure Talalay latex bends with the base without bunching, and sleeps cool, the opposite of memory foam.

One touch on every model we carry

Dawn House auto anti-snore feature

22:30

Unwind, then quiet the snoring

Timed wave massage helps you settle. An anti‑snore setting raises the head a few degrees, which can open the airway and ease reflux. The Dawn House does it on its own when it hears snoring.

Flex-A-Bed motion underbed lighting at night

03:00

A safe path in the dark

Motion lighting glows softly under the bed when feet reach for the floor, so there is no fumbling for a lamp. A backlit remote, or a flashlight built into it, finds the right button first.

The collection

We recommend first on reliability. We would rather not make a sale than sell a bed we know is unreliable. Tap any photo to see it larger, then lie down on the real thing at the Superstore.

Our own, and our favorite

Electropedic, Burbank

Electropedic WH2

In 1971 Henry Kraus built his own adjustable bed on a steel frame running the full width and length of the bed. That idea still sets ours apart: it looks exactly like a regular bed, and it lasts.

The WH2 is the best on the market, in our view. It is the bed we compare every other bed against.
