    • Extended rail

      Carries the chair past the top step so you get on and off away from the stair edge.

    • Manual hinged rail

      Folds the bottom section up when it would block a doorway or hallway.

    • Powered hinged rail

      Raises and lowers that section automatically, with no lifting.

    • Power swivel seat

      Turns the chair at the top landing to reduce twisting as you stand.

    • Power folding seat

      Folds the seat, arms and footrest away at the push of a button.

    Installation, done right

    Even a premium stair lift can ride rough or wear early if it is poorly aligned. This is how our own crews install every lift, in the order it happens in your home.

    1. Plan the features

      Folding seat, swivel, battery backup, remotes and safety sensors, chosen for your stairs.

    2. Prepare the components

      The rail mounts to the treads, not the wall. The carriage holds the motor, batteries and controls.

    3. Install the rail

      Brackets fasten into the treads and each section is leveled to remove vibration and noise.

    4. Mount the chair and drive

      Seat, swivel and footrest are balanced, and gears and rollers are set for quiet travel.

    5. Connect safety controls

      Seat belt, obstruction sensors, emergency stop, swivel locks and remotes are all tested.

    6. Test ride and lifetime care

      We ride it before we leave, then recommend periodic inspection and battery testing.

    When the rider uses a wheelchair

    A stair lift needs the rider to sit and transfer. When that is not possible, a vertical platform porch lift raises the wheelchair itself, like a small open‑air elevator, from the driveway to the front door.

    We highly recommend the MACS PL‑50, the most reliable wheelchair lift we know. The Bruno VPL‑3100 and MACS PL‑72 cover taller lifts, from 2 to 14 feet, residential and commercial ADA.
